This smoothie is extremely simple to make, tastes delicious (I have yet to meet a person who has not absolutely loved it), and satisfies a sweet craving, all while being wonderfully healthy and chock full of nutrients. The banana, pineapple, almond milk offer many benefits (fiber, potassium, vitamin E, bromelain, etc.), and the acai and camu camu elevate this from a healthy smoothie to one deserving of the superfood title. Adding something like almond milk (or another non-dairy milk, though I do not recommend soy milk for health reasons) to make a creamier smoothie can be a nice depart from smoothies with a liquid base of filtered water. While green smoothies made with higher proportions of fruit and with almond milk are less cleansing for the body, they are still highly nutritious, providing many vitamins and minerals and a high dose of fiber. This smoothie is sweet and creamy and deceptively healthy. Spirulina is a superfood rich in B vitamins, including B 12, and high in protein. I cannot sing its praises enough. Mix one tablespoon of spirulina with 8 ounces of fresh carrot juice and drink to have an amazingly nutritious snack or pick-me-up.
